Paqueta -Group

Paqueta was founded on 1945 in the city of Sapiranga, in Rio Grande do Sul. Paquetas mission is ”To provide well-being and pleasure to people that want to walk with fashion, by being a strong, ethical and dynamic Company, with results for its partners, employees and for the community.”

Dumond is a part of this big Paqueta -group, which footwear production capacity is 75 000 pairs a day. Yearly this means over 13 million pairs production. Dumond is Paqueta's own brand and has also own retail stores. Dumond is sold over 50 countries all over the world. Europe is the fastest growing market at the moment.

Paqueta -Group has its own retail chains, nowadays 120 stores. Group has also branded their own credit card.

Paqueta has big farms for cattle raising and farming. Its goal is cattle breeding for meat and leather commercialization. Furthermore they develop and grow soy bean and corn. For leather processing the group has its own tanneries to manufacture high quality leathers for our shoes and bags, and also for export market. Component units are making all kind of shoe parts, such as outsoles, insoles, heels, buckles, jewellery and other parts. In several production units are made high quality feminine and sporting footwear. Company also has its own waste management facilities and takes good care of all kind of wastes with respecting the environmental legislations and values.

This above mentioned process ensures high quality control through the whole production.

All  employees are trained professionals. Paqueta take care of the workers and their families. Families are provided housing in a bungalow type of houses. During their work there is a daycare unit taking care of the children. Medical doctor and dental care is also provided for all employees. In the factories everything is very well organized and clean, workers are happy in good working conditions. Especially happiness with work raises effectiveness in its peak.
